Camellia Bùi
Student Research Assistant
Camellia Bùi is an undergraduate senior at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a double major in Psychology and Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE). She is working with Aaron Richterman on a study examining the effects of large-scale governmental cash transfer programs on behavioral and health determinants of mortality in 37 low- and middle-income countries. During her time at Penn, she was fortunate to have the opportunity to contribute to several mixed-methods psychological research experiences and community-based development projects. These experiences greatly informed her interest in developing and scaling effective and equitable health interventions and public health systems for communities in need. She aspires to become a psychologist, a public health worker and researcher in the future. At Penn, Bùi was involved in various student organizations to explore her passion for mental health and student advocacy. In her downtime, she enjoys swinging with the West Philly Swingers, brushing up on her Mandarin and German by reading novels, and finding joy in small acts of kindness.
