Ying Zhang, MSPH
Research Trainee
Ying Zhang is a PhD student at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She works with Dr. Aaron Richterman on a project implementing and evaluating a visual tool to communicate HIV treatment adherence. Her research interests center on health risk communication: how people perceive, interpret, and act on health risk information, and how message design can close the gap between risk perception and protective behavior. She draws on research experience in tobacco regulatory science, occupational health, and public health communication and education, combining computational and qualitative methods to inform interventions that promote public health outcomes.
